At ActivoGrid we design the power infrastructure of your masterplan from Concept to Detailed Design stage. We can also design for Competitions being part of a wider utilities\/infrastructure team.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Tasks and Deliverables<\/span><\/h4>\n

The tasks involved include:<\/p>\n

  • Develop energy strategy: onsite renewables generation.<\/li>\n
  • Estimate the energy demand based on energy density benchmarks<\/li>\n
  • Support coordination with local authorities<\/li>\n
  • Design power distribution infrastructure at Medium Voltage (MV).<\/li>\n
  • Design Public Realm distribution strategy at Low Voltage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    These tasks serve to produce the following deliverables:<\/p>\n

    • Energy Strategy and Infrastructure report (normally part of the Infrastructure>Utilities section).<\/li>\n
    • MV (11kV, 13.8 or 33kV) cables routing<\/li>\n
    • Primary Substations sizing and location<\/li>\n
    • Distribution Substations (MV\/LV) sizing and location<\/li>\n
    • Load schedules to map supply chain for each building and justify estimated Maximum Demand Load at each element: Primary Substation – MV feeder – Distribution Substation – Plot – Building.<\/li>\n
    • Single Line Diagram detailing assets rating and protection, metering and control devices and networks.<\/li>\n
    • Phasing of power infrastructure according to development build-out programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The output from our design is used by the utilities and infrastructure designer to:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Make the appropriate allowance of utility plots in consideration with power assets.<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate utilities rights-of-way.<\/li>\n
      • Select tie-in points to the site and for each plot\/building.<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate location and area required at plot level for utility assets e.g. distribution substations.<\/li>\n
      • Run cost analysis and business plans<\/li>\n
      • Obtain approval from local authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
